Synthetic rinks or ice rinks?

Skating rinks with real ice do not require the use of synthetic materials such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which is used for synthetic rinks. The use of synthetic materials may involve the extraction and use of non-renewable resources, while natural ice uses water, a renewable and recyclable resource, as its main element.
